Our Service

Your ‘at-home’ appointment

We offer a free home visit service whereby we bring our full range of carpet samples to you.  You can then choose a colour and texture that exactly matches your home décor in the comfort of your own home.  Our sales advisor will also be on hand to offer advice on types of carpet and underlay that best suit your room, lifestyle and budget.

Whatever your budget and style, we guarantee we’ll stock a carpet to meet your needs.

Free measuring service

Your advisor will take measurements of your room to ensure your carpet fits perfectly.  We will always look for the most economical way of measuring and therefore minimising waste.  Once we have both the measurements and type of carpet you require, we will then provide a free, no-obligation written quote.  Our promise is that our sales advisors will never ask you to decide whether or not to go ahead during your home visit.

Fitting

Once your order is confirmed, we’ll arrange a fitting date that is convenient for you. We always include fitting in our quotes and do not sub-contract it out to third parties.  Our expert fitters have been installing carpets for many years and know exactly how to leave you with the perfect finish. We can even arrange to have your furniture moved and your old carpets taken up and disposed of if required.

Choosing the right carpet

When it comes to choosing the right carpet there are a number of things to consider such as the amount of footfall, children, budget and whether you have pets. We’ve put together a short, but handy guide to each carpet type below:

Twist Pile Carpets:

These carpets are the most hard-wearing and great for areas of high footfall.  The carpet fibres are tightly twisted and cut, giving it a ‘bounce-back ability’ and tufted appearance.

Saxony Carpets:

These are deep-pile carpets that are thicker and more luxurious than other styles. They are perfect for rooms such as bedrooms and lounges although we do not recommend them for stairs.

Berber Carpets:

These are textured, loop-pile carpets that have a lightly flecked colouring.  They are great at hiding marks and most commonly chosen for children’s bedrooms, dining rooms and lounges.  However, please be aware that they are not pet-friendly as their claws can snag on the loops causing the pile to unravel.

Loop carpets:

These carpets have small loops that are amazingly durable.  The loops will not flatten easily and provide a long-lasting textured design suitable for any room.  However, please be aware that they are not pet-friendly as their claws can snag on the loops causing the pile to unravel.

Wool, Synthetic or Blended?

Wool carpets:

If you want luxury, wool carpets are the perfect choice.  They are soft and springy and have a natural elasticity that makes them incredibly durable.

 Synthetic carpets:

Synthetic carpets such as polypropylene designs are great for spills – they are stain resistant as the spills naturally roll off the carpet fibres making them easy to clean.

 Blended carpets:

Blended carpets are mixtures of Wool and Synthetic.  An example would be an 80/20 mix that offers the benefits of both materials.
